Park Circus 7 Point, Kolkata
'Park Circus 7 Point', is South & Central Kolkata's one of the busiest crossing and also a landmark due to its surroundings.
If I consider Loknayak's statue as bench mark, then on his left hand side I got my 1st Point/Road, named 'Suhrawardy Avenue'.
The road is divided with police barricade, more space is given for outbound traffic as compared to inbound traffic. Aprox 500 meter stretch towards 'Don Bosco More (circle)', which further turn to CIT Road on left and turn right to Darga Road.
After crossing the front gate, beside the Park Wall, I saw 2nd Point/Road named 'New Park Street' it contains restricted traffic always, or can say only local residents, their known one and essential service providers enter with their vehicles in this route, pedestrians and two wheelers have no restriction. Further it connecting 4 no. Bridge commonly known as 'Char (4) Number Poll', underneath is a nearest Railway Station named 'Park Circus Railway Station', runs only local trains.
In between 'New Park St.', I saw 'Two Ramp' one is for outbound traffic and another is for inbound traffic. Yes, I am talking about my 3rd Point/Road/intersection whatever you may call it. Ya! its 'Maa Flyover', another landmark of this place, further connecting to Em-bypass (to &fro) have aprox 4.5km single side stretch, opened on 9 October 2015 at a cost of 460 crores (source: wikipedia).
Now i am heading towards my 4th Point/Road, but before getting there, I saw a big blue gate.
This one is 'Tram Depot', wherein, few historic trams are standing on its track, also seen lots of CTC's busses are standing there, its now became 'Bus Depot/Stand', and now buses running towards all parts of Kolkata from here, (to & fro).
A little, a nursing home, 'Islamia Medical Institute' have 24x7 service with ICCU & Pathology service.
Further walking few more steps, I reached to my 4th point/Road named 'Syed Amir Ali Avenue' intersection, here I saw, after aprox 50 mtr road has divider for its in & outbound traffic.
The outbound traffic goes straight to 'Goria 4 crossing More (Turn)' and vice versa, the road stretch is approximately 10km and has lots of intersecting roads in between.
After crossing the road, a big old yellow building is welcoming me. The building name is 'Park Court' and it has the 'Office of Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Division'.
Beside that I saw my 5th Point/Road named 'Circus Avenue' connecting to AJC Bose Road, also a ramp of AJC Bose Flyover for outbound traffic towards PG hospital/VictoriaMemorial.
On the other side of police barricades, I noticed a ramp of AJC Bose Flyover coming down with some inbound traffic which is coming from Victoria Memorial / PG Hospital.
I walked ahead and found another big building named 'Siddiqui Mansion' with some shops and furniture showroom in it, after crossing the building, I saw two roads,
one is going beside that building which is 6th Point/Road named 'Shakespeare Sarani' formerly known as 'Theater Road'. And another one named 'Park Street', the 7th and last Point/Road of the Park Circus 7 Point Crossing, both the two roads intersect AJC Bose Road further connecting Chowringee Road.
By this time, I'm starving, I crossed the road and approached towards a huge building named 'Mariana Garden Court'
Adjoining Arsalan 'JUGALS' is also there, famous for its 'Misti Doi' and authentic local sweets.
Beside Jugals, yet another famous food outlet formerly known as 'Monginis' now 'Mio Amore' known for its Bakery and Desserts, Mio Amore has chain of outlets across Kolkata maybe also outside kolkata.
Marina Garden Court building is also become landmark due to Arsalan and is situated at the back of Lok Nayak's (Jai Prakash Narayan) Statue in Park Circus 7 Point Crossing.
